The G.L.E.A.M.

FreeWheel S.E.W. provides the youth with mentoring opportunities and support to facilitate personal growth through positive role models that will serve them through their life experiences.  We strive to match students with a mentor that matches their needs.  

FreeWheel S.E.W. surrounds young people in a caring, inclusive learning environment with GUIDANCE, LEADERSHIP, ENTHUSIASM, ASPIRATION & MOMENTUM.  

The GLEAM program strives to achieve the following principles:

G- Guidance:  We want to inspire friendships and long-lasting relationships, strong interpersonal skills, and instill a sense of hope in the future.

L- Leadership: Our mentees learn leadership skills from their mentors and participation in the program.  They learn to stand alone while not being afraid to stand out and lead others.

E- Enthusiasm: In order to br great leaders, students must develop a certain amount of excitement and charisma to draw others in as followers.

A- Aspiration:  FreeWheel empowers participants as they work to better understand establishing goals and following through on commitments. 

M- Momentum: We want to expand the perspective of young people to make them aware of life's possibilities and keep them pushing forward through any challenges they may face.
